No Slots on Credit Action

Thursday, November 12, 2009 - 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Location

Senator Kitchen's District Office
1701 W. Lehigh Ave
Philadelphia, PA

With a predatory gambling industry intent on wringing money out of the problem gamblers their products create, a bill to authorize casinos to give lines of credit to gamblers would make recession-wracked citizens vulnerable to yet more financial troubles by driving them deeper and deeper into debt.

You called your senators last week to voice your concerns, and they have yet to respond to us.

That's why it's time to escalate our actions. We, along with the No Casino in the Heart of the City Coalition will be delivering Foreclosure signs to Senator Kitchen's office tomorrow -- because she'll need to have them ready to hand to her constituents if she continues to support this reckless legislation.

Join us at Sen. Shirley Kitchen's office at 1:30 PM, Thursday, Nov. 12, and help us to awaken the city's leaders to the exorbitant costs of allowing casinos in Philadelphia.
